I tend to believe that those present will not forget, however it is not evident to me what the exercise in telling ourselves what we will never forget accomplishes.
The couple hundred in the crowd are very obedient in their echoing the familiar chants. This comes with practice. It is unclear to me whether attention is being paid by anyone who is not chanting.
The day is chilly, sunny, brisk. It is a fine afternoon to stand outside and chant. After several minutes of chanting there is a round of cheering for the success of the performance given, the ritual concluded.
